The Gender Project: Deconstructing Gender Through Photography

Meet Veronique Charlotte, the artist and creative director behind the Gender Project. Her traveling project explores the notion of gender through photography, video and performance.

The principle is simple: in each city, she invites 100 people to participate in the project through an open call. It is a vulnerable, intimate and once-in-a-lifetime experience where participants have their half-nude portraits taken, while discussing their experiences and stories related to gender.

Through these photographs and discussions, the project hopes to end gender inequality. You can have a glimpse of some of the portraits in the documentary down below!
